Podcasting lets you automatically
receive the latest episode of your chosen
programme as soon as it's available.
With the current range of audio podcasts,
you can take your favourite radio
programmes with you on the move and
listen wherever and whenever you like.
You can "subscribe" to receive a
podcast, rather like you might subscribe
to a magazine and get it delivered
whenever a new edition is published.

If you have a mobile phone which is capable of
storing and playing MP3s you will be able to play
podcasts.
There are a number of ways to transfer MP3 files
onto your phone:
The simplest way is using a USB lead, then
'drag and drop' MP3 files across from one device to
the other. Many phones are supplied with a USB
lead, but if you are in any doubt, consult your
phone's user manual.
If your phone has a removable
memory card (e.g. a micro or mini SD card) you
could remove this, and insert it into your computer
or laptop, if it has a card reader. You should then be
able to drag and drop podcast MP3 files as
described above. When you re-insert the memory
card into your phone, you should be able to browse
and play them.
You may be able to synchronize your mobile phone with your
computer so that any podcasts you have subscribed
to on the computer are automatically copied to your
phone. Generally this requires special software, and
you should consult your phone's manual or contact
the manufacturer for more help. |
